Lots of ideas on the internet for Christmas decorating are all fit for large houses, but the fact is, not all of us own a manor. Decorating an apartment can sometimes be tricky – you don’t have all the extra room to work with, so you have to stay practical. It’s easy to decide that you won’t bother this year, but its important to keep your spirits up (especially with how 2020 has gone so far)!

We have some tips and tricks on how you can make your apartments north wales have a Christmas shine.

  • Get a mini tree.

Of course, you need a tree, its Christmas! Even the smallest of homes can manage this if you buy a miniature one – real or fake. These can be displayed on a table or dresser, and with its size, you’ll save money on the number of baubles too.

  • Jazz up the sofa.

A simple way to make the living room shine is to swap the normal cushion covers for some glittery ones, it will feel like a party in there all the time. Team this with a sequinned throw and you’re all set for a glamorous Christmas

  • Add some branches.

Do you know of any spots with some evergreen trees in the area? Bring a couple of branches home and hang them up around the place; at the top of door frames, on the mantlepiece, by the window. Wrap some fairy lights over them and you won’t be missing that full-size tree.

  • Hang up your cards.

Do you ever end up throwing away cards because you have no room to display them? A simple fix is to hang them in a garland. Attach a piece of string to the wall and secure the cards to it with pegs. It will be comforting to read all the kind messages more often.

  • Utilise shelving.

Most apartments have shelving or bookcases to help stay savvy with storage. Either way, these are great places to hang up items such as stockings or display Christmas trinkets and candles.

  • Add a wreath.

Adding a wreath to your front door can make you feel Christmassy as soon as you get home. This will help spread the Christmas cheer to your neighbours too – who might like the idea and join in themselves!

  • String lights.

A place isn’t Christmassy without twinkly string lights! No matter how small a room is, there is always space for you to hang some lights. Line whatever you can; cabinets, large plants, mirrors etc.
